This week, we were able to come up with three new tracks from American artists, a bit of a rarity these days as Americans seem to have been laying low. Since there are only three of them, we will introduce them here as:
The Needmores, a thoroughly engaging rock band from Detroit, Michigan whose new song “Lookin'” is in the Cars tradition or thereabouts.
Leaves Floating On The Water is a jam rock project from California that, despite a tendency toward noodliness, has a nice low key vibe that will soothe away tedious wrinkles in your timeline. Although the album is called Noise Rock, that seems like a bit of a misnomer. Also, despite the album cover, there are no drums whatsoever.
Hailing from Long Beach, CA, Galactivators are our band of the week for taking on the task of raising the World’s collective consciousness through music and yoga. We played Extraterrestrial Messages featuring BRC Allstars, and it was fun and funny. In that regard, I would say our consciousness was raised and hopefully those of anyone listening to this show.
